Hello there,

I am Mich and I’ll like to share what drives me and my photography.

My journey with photography traversed three phases.

As a teenager, I was fascinated by conceptual art and photography. A powerful visual can convey emotions and ideas where words fail. This influenced me, as an observer.

My passion for photography then intensified when I became a mum to two energetic and amazing toddlers- Ollie and Sky, and our golden retriever, Dash. As I started documenting the growth stages of my brood, I witnessed the raw beauty of their interactions with their grandparents and Dash. Only through photography, could I freeze time and capture that emotion there and then. Every captured moment was precious because it was the only one in the universe.

Photography took on a deeper meaning for me when my dad fell seriously ill and passed away in 2021. It dawned on me that any moments worth remembering should be captured, not just the happy ones. My dad became the inspiring force behind OliveSky Photography. 

To me, photography is about encapsulating moments in life that deserve to be celebrated and treasured. Where emotions are evoked and words do not suffice. Timeless remembrance, I’ll call it.
